This place is very hyped so it nearly impossible to get resy unless you do it in advance or someone cancel. I have been lucky doing walk in so far. However the last time we did have to sit at the bar and wait full hour. I have been here a few times and recently tried the corn here which is good but when I compare to esquite I like that a bit better. But it was still yummy! Shockingly, I was hesitant when we ordered the squash pie but it was delicious! I am also big on bread and butter so I did enjoy that as a starter here! The calabrese which is a standard on the menu is one of my favs! I would say skip the classic margherita and try something else on the menu. The ambiance here is rustic and cozy with dim lighting. It is always packed!
I went today for the first time with my husband. A friend of mine recommended it. I was not disappointed. The service was great. I like the lighting and decor, nothing outrageous or crazy, just clean and simple. We had some drinks that they make in house and they were delicious. And we got straight to the point and ordered our pizzas. My husband ordered the pepperoni and I ordered the Calabrese. My husband asked for a side of honey and that only elevated the deliciousness of our pizzas. This was the first time we visited Jersey City. It was rainy and foggy and there was traffic to and from Razza but it was worth it. I give this restaurant two enthusiastic thumbs up. We will be visiting again.
The pizzas and meatballs were delicious but overall the place was overpriced considering how skimpy the toppings were. Staff was friendly and I liked the decor.
The hype is real here. I love pizza and trying all kinds I can tell you that this business does it right... like top notch level! The best I've ever had 100% The service is enjoyable and will accommodate your requests with no issues. Ambiance is nice and the dim lighting is just right, but the food... wow, just perfect! It's worth every bite. They even have a guy who inspects the pizzas before they get to your table. I like seeing that quality control in a restaurant, makes me feel like my money is well spent. FYI: Reservations can only be made on Resy, and it's best to reserve way in advance. I got extremely lucky making a reservation on the same day.
I had a great time dining at Razza. Very attentive servers and nice, relaxing environment. Their pizzas were amazing with soft yet crispy dough, and I felt like the combinations of all the toppings were all well put together. Bread&butter tasting was pretty good too, and panna cotta was a good harmony of the caramel and cream. However, I felt like the funghi was a little over cooked since the dough was on the harder side, but the santo was just perfect all over
We arrived at 3:04pm and they open at 3-there was already a line. We were able to get seating, but only at the bar. Worst seating ever. My partner is 6'1, and if sitting comfortably, his heels aren't able to touch the ground. My legs dangled awkwardly and the woman sitting next to me gave up and just stood. There is no ledge on the bar or on the chairs to rest your feet on. Besides the constant discomfort, the service was good, the food was good. The special corn pizza was very good, the yellow tomato margherita pizza lacked a little flavor. A little bigger than a personal pie, the prices are a bit high for what they are. About $26 for each pizza to feed one person.
One of Jersey's best pizza. The pizza is very consistent. The corn pie is back which is enough reason to visit. It's made with NJ's fresh sweet corn, onions, and cheese. It's the perfect bite and ask for some chili powder which lacks in spiciness honestly but a good topping regardless. I typically had pepperoni to add the perfect saltiness to my slices. The tiramisu was delicious and everything you expect in a traditional dessert. I could do without the watermelon drink. I tried my sister's non alcoholic pomegranate drink and this was bomb. I would order that drink a dozen times over if I could.! Before opening hours, there's already a line. If you don't have a reservation I would suggest coming before 3 or 3:45 for a seat. The hostess was kind enough to seat us without a resy. Lots of walking around and coming up to the table every 5 minutes. It was a little annoying and overwhelming when mid bite or mid conversation.
I'm always looking for an artisan pizza spot but most do not live to the hype. I arrived here five minutes after it opened and there was a line to get in. When I got in the only available seats were bar seating. With out hesitation that is what I went with. Upon seating we were offered water and not long after we placed our orders. They do have beer and other alcoholic drinks there. While waiting I noticed that the place is dark but that gives the vibe for the place. One thing to note. At the bar seating area there is a lack of rails for you to put your feet on and the chairs also do not have a foot rest. This makes it really uncomfortable for anyone shorter than 6ft tall. I really hope they fix that. My SO had to sit on the edge to put her on the floor and another patron eventually stood while waiting for her food because she was in pain trying to tippy toe. Other than that fantastic place!!
